Your data
What public and private mean
Public
Anyone with a CAN Data Extract account can find, open and copy the item. Public traces and transforms help other engineers decode the same ECUs.
Used for testing and validation
Traces stay private to your namespace, and Can Data Extract ApS may replay them to test and validate CAN Data Extract. They are not published or shared with other customers.
Private
Only members of your namespace can see the item. On Enterprise self-hosted, the data never reaches our servers.

Questions
Before you write to us
- Is the desktop app included?
- Yes. Every tier includes the online app and the desktop app, with recording, scanning and ECU simulation.
- Can I move from Free to Pro later?
- Yes. Anything that was public while you were on Free may already have been opened or copied by others, so treat it as published.
- What does self-hosted need?
- Servers you run. We send the requirements with the Enterprise quote.
- How do I get a price?
- Write to sales@candataextract.com with the tier, the number of engineers and, for Enterprise, where you want it to run.
